v40.0 allows to fine-tune how images should be handled by the crawler, comes with a Japanese translation and keeps Emojis as-are by default (PRO feature).
"Include Images" Crawler Option
The crawler option now allows fine-tuning: choose among "Yes", "Ignore HTML image elements" and "No images at all".

Thanks to Isamu Hibari for contributing a Japanese translation!
"Remove Emojis?" HTML Sitemap Option
The HTML sitemap option had a default value of "Yes, leading". As the implementation relies on a somewhat recent PCRE library version which seems to be missing in some hosting environments, the default value has been set to "No".
Enable the option manually if needed.
Joomla! 5.4 & Joomla! 6 Support
Aimy Sitemap now supports both Joomla! 5.4 & Joomla! 6 without the need to enable a backward compatibility plugin (B/C plugin).
Aimy Sitemap now allows to be used by Aimy Sitemap CLI.
Aimy Sitemap CLI makes the functionality of Aimy Sitemap available on the command line. Currently, it comes with a crawl-website command that will replace the crawl-website.php script included in Aimy Sitemap PRO in a future release as it does not work on Joomla! 6.
All users of Aimy Sitemap PRO that use Joomla! 4 or up and make use of the "Periodic Crawling" functionality are encouraged to switch to Aimy Sitemap CLI (free plugin).
comes with its own debugging mode and improves special character handling in URLs.
Until v37.0 Aimy Sitemap could be put into debugging mode only by enabling the "System: Debug" option in Joomla!'s "Global Configuration". Now Aimy Sitemap can be put into debugging mode on its own independently as well (see "Options" → "Enable Debugging Mode" in "Aimy Sitemap" tab).
improves page title extraction during a crawl using the periodic crawling script on Joomla! 4.x and 5.x.
introduces a workaround for inconsistent HEAD/GET server responses during a crawl and contains updated translations for Polish and Slovak.
does not require the Joomla! Backward Compatibility Plugin (B/C Plugin) to be active on Joomla! 5 anymore.
Besides that it supports crawling of WebP images, improves suggested actions on broken links (PRO feature) and allows to exclude "priority" tags from an XML sitemap (PRO feature).
